

Ode to the New Jersey Turnpike She seems to smile down at the world, just a sliver of light, ever watchful. Always seeing, always quiet. She appears to fly alongside the cars it's just a trick she doesn't actually visibly move. At least, that's what we've been told by the grownups. An optical illusion, they call it. She soars through open fields and over quaint brown farm houses, settling down for the night; past industrial parks, obscured by smog and reflecting off cold pavement garages. Trees break her smile, cracking it, briefly before the illusion moves her onward.Ode to the New Jersey Turnpike by ~Baranorewen

Suck the stream Suck the stream spilt from the trees,Suck the stream by ~CheekyValiance
waddle wide-eyed and wrestle roots
stump the stag while chasing hart,
seek air, take wings, yet land and stare.
Furrow under fallen leaves,
busy bodies, taut and lean
pulling on the journeyvine,
the woods will drunk you, one dark wine.
Sterling learner, instill fire!
gawk in awe and push on further
now at one with the true mother,
to be at all, I must be being.
